1 SKIING FOR ALL
The famous Jean Blanc slope, which runs from the top of La Loze to Le Praz, is a favourite in the office. With nearly half of the resort’s slopes classed as red or black, there are plenty of options for experienced skiers. But Courchevel is not just for thrill-seekers: it has three ski schools, a great range of green slopes, plus more than 87km of footpaths and cross-country trails.
2 OLYMPIC SPIRIT
Courchevel hosted several events during the 1992 Winter Olympics, and 30 years on there are still plenty of reminders of the games. Try gliding around the Olympic ice-skating rink or watch the world’s best at the bespoke Olympic ski jump in Le Praz.
3 TAKE IN THE VIEW
Head to the top of Sommet de la Saulire for incredible 360-degree views of the Three Valleys and across to Mont Blanc. A little further down the valley in Courchevel Moriond, the lift will whisk you up to the restaurant Le Bel Air. It has an amazing terrace – the perfect place to soak up the sun and Alpine atmosphere.
4 SKI IN, SPA OUT
The luxury brand Six Senses opened the first serviced spa residence in the resort, and to say it is popular is an understatement. Resort guests can book into this exclusive spa and enjoy the thermal pools, juice bar and relaxation zone – tried and tested by our very own team.
5 SHOPPING AT LA CROISETTE
For retail, head to La Croisette in the heart of the resort, with a range of boutiques showcasing numerous prestigious brands.
6 COURCHEVEL IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT
There are plenty of more unusual ways to explore Courchevel – think snowshoe hikes, paragliding, snowmobile rides, dog sledding, tobogganing or even hot-air ballooning. And in Courchevel Moriond, after some gentle après-ski, it’s time to hit the pistes again with night skiing on floodlit slopes above the village.
7 WELCOMING THE WORLD
At the end of December 2023, athletes from around the world will descend on Courchevel for the Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup on a challenging and exhilarating course that this this year includes a new night-time slalom. This is the thirteenth time Courchevel will host a stage of the Women’s Alpine Skiing world cup, cementing the region’s status as a skiing stronghold with both tradition and innovation at its core.
