About this property
Corsindae Estate is a picturesque estate set amidst tranquil countryside, with a dramatic northern backdrop dominated by Bennachie and its iconic peak, Mither Tap – a defining feature of the Aberdeenshire landscape. The estate comprises a diverse mix of residential, farming, forestry, sporting, and natural capital assets, with scope to develop several redundant buildings for commercial or residential use.
Extending to approximately 1,080 acres, the estate is centred around Corsindae House, a cherished family home for generations. The main drive, marked by stone pillars, winds through mature policy woodland and opens to reveal the house. A second driveway leads directly to Corsindae Home Farm, where Corsindae Cottage and Home Farm Cottage are located. This tree-lined route continues past the loch to Milton Burn Farmhouse and further on to a disused range of agricultural buildings.
South Milton of Corsindae lies on the northern edge of the estate and is accessed via a minor public road. Adjacent to South Milton is a redundant grain store, which benefits from full planning permission for conversion into a two-bedroom-house.
The estate ranges in elevation from 105 to 195 metres above sea level, featuring gently undulating lowlands and steeper hills. The farmland is managed in-hand as part of a wider family farming partnership. The land includes 216acres of arable ground, 355 acres of pasture, and 62 acres of rough grazing, with approximately 369 acres of grazing let on a seasonal basis. There are also 400 acres of amenity woodlands and commercial plantations. A network of mown paths has been created near to Corsindae House, offering scenic nature trails along field margins, around the loch, and through woodland. One particularly enchanting area, known as The Jungle, features mixed broadleaf planting and a series of paths bordered by wild roses, hawthorns, blackthorns, and willows. A small stream runs through the centre of this area, feeding a pond, while the Milton Burn meanders along the southern edge.
The sporting rights over Corsindae Estate are held in-hand and are included in the sale.
Corrennie Hill, situated 7 miles* to the west and extending to approximately 55 acres, along with 2.5 miles* of single-bank fishing on the River Don at Fetter near, 8 miles* to the east, are available to the purchaser by separate negotiation.
