Southfield House is an exquisite Grade II* listed country house, reputedly built on the site of a medieval structure in the mid-1650s as three cottages. John Node later converted these cottages into a single dwelling, with additional modifications made in 1806.

- Frome with its vibrant and creative atmosphere, local farmer market and popular Cheese and Grain even space is within 4 miles. The very popular Babington House Country Hotel and private members club, which offers excellent recreational facilities, is within approx. 7 mile drive. There are a variety of excellent schools in Bath including Prior Park College, The Paragon, King Edwards School and Monkton Combe with school buses available locally. Additionally there are a number of other good schools in the area including Millfield, Downside and Dauntsey’s.
