Horse country, polo country and a breath-taking Andalucian landscape defines Los Gazapos. Yet this quiet and unique Spanish cortijo is only ten minutes’ drive from the Mediterranean Sea and Sotogrande. You approach the property (just under 8 hectares or 19 acres) driving through pretty countryside and polo fields and then enter it through electric gates which have a keypad and mobile phone connected intercom. The driveway then takes you up to the house which you enter through a classic Andalucian courtyard with a car port.

The house faces west and looks across a valley with stunning views often accentuated by spectacular sunsets and, as you enter, its great charm strikes you immediately. The house measures 471m2 with five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a living room with fireplace which leads out to a terrace which is enclosed by glass panels in the winter, creating a sun room which also has a central fireplace to warm the chilly evenings at that time of year. This terrace leads out to the garden and lawn and looks across the valley. There is a separate dining room with its own fireplace and a large kitchen with a pantry and adjoining laundry room. There is underfloor heating in the main living areas of the house which is served by a gas boiler which also heats the hot water system. There are air conditioning units in all the bedrooms and the house has an alarm system which is connected to the provider via its own sim card

From the kitchen you walk out to the swimming pool which is situated within a very pretty walled garden with attractive shaded porches for outdoor living and dining. This is just an amazing area to relax.

Los Gazapos is principally an equestrian property with two stable blocks (totalling 642m2) and plenty of land to let horses out to grass. The old stable block, connecting to the walled garden, has five stables, an office, tack room and an apartment with its own bathroom. The tennis court sits behind these old stables from which, along an avenue of palm trees, you approach the new stable block.
